Joanna Zieba "Ontology Alignment Algorithms and their Application in K-WfGrid" Pursuing the idea of 'invisible Grid' and hiding the complexities of Grid environment from the user, the K-Wf Grid project aims at extensive use of semantic informations gathered in various ontologies stored in the Grid Organizational Memory in order to support semi-automatic construction of workflows. Registering new Grid services involves integrating their semantic descriptions with knowledge already existing in GOM. This task can be accomplished with ontology similarity methods. The talk will give overview of existing similarity measures and concentrates on their applicability to the use case of analyzing semantic descriptions of Grid services. Also, a prototypeontology alignment tool developed in the K-Wf Grid project will be presented.
