"gLite: Next Generation (?) Middleware for Grid Computing"

gLite, the successor of the LCG, is claimed to be the next
generation middleware for grid computing. It is a result of
the collaborative efforts of more than 80 people in 12 different
academic and industrial research centres in the EGEE Project.
gLite consists, among others, of following components:
Information and Monitoring System (R-GMA), Virtual Organisations
Management System (VOMS), Workload Manager, Logging and Bookkeeping,
Data Catalogs, File Transfer.
The talk will be an introduction to the gLite middlewere, with
a presentation of its components and comparison to LCG one.
The gLite installation in Cyfronet will be also described.
