Andrzej Olszewski "Past and Present of ATLAS Grid Computing" ALICE, ATLAS, LHCb nd CMS are high energy particle physics experiments designed to work on the new Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN which will start its operations in the year 2007. With the expected total accumulation of 20 Peta Bytes of data per year and the estimated 100M SpecInt2k processing power needed for their analysis these experiments will be one of the most demanding users of the LCG Grid network of computing centers designed as their computing environment. In this presentation I will describe the development of the LCG Project, and the experiments specific computing models and problems in using LCG during data challenge tests of the Grid running currently and performed in the past.
