Conclusions of the ECSS Workshop on Software Services Challenges (Budapest, April 2008)

The 2nd workshop of the ECSS - European Community for Software & Software
Services - see:

brought together experts from the scientific community and from
the industry for a day full of exchange of thoughts and discussions.

The aim was to work out strategic judgements and guidelines for
the European Commission and the community of European researchers and
entrepreneurs active in the software services (SS) field, through discussion
of software services related challenges identified by the 3S Green Paper.

The outcome of the workshop will have direct influence on the ECSS
White Paper, the action paper meant for the European Commission, prepared
by the 3S Consortium, including judgements and policy recommendations
shared by the widest possible number of European entities and individuals
with a stake in the area of software services.

The aim of the talk is to present the discussions and outcomes of the
Workshop as well as the influence it may exert on European research
in the Software Services domain.
