                  Why Microsoft in HPC?

The seminar will be delivered in two parts. In Part One we will address
some general HPC issue and will explain what is the approach of Microsoft
to these issues. Specifically we will present:
- How Microsoft looks on the HPC market and products,
- What we think about business drivers for HPC and what we mean by High
  Productivity Computing,
- Microsoft HPC Vision,
- High Level Windows HPC Server 2008 presentation including the
  presentation,
  of the main components of the system,
- The benefits of Microsoft over other vendors solutions,
- Some interesting case studies.

In Part Two we will present more deeply some interesting function and
features of Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008, including job scheduling,
networking and MPI, system management, etc. We will be talking about
Windows HPC and distributed, multithread, multicore applications. In this
part we will explain with more details our view of parallel programming.
Additionally we will also cover such subjects as Windows Communication
Foundation, cloud computing vs. HPC etc.
