Andreas Hoheisel Fraunhofer FIRST, Berlin, Germany "Workflow Management of Grid Applications using High-Level PetriNets" Grid applications are commonly composed of several services, working together in an application-specific manner following the paradigm of a service-oriented architecture. The automation of the control and data flow between these services is called workflow. This talk focuses on how High-Level Petri Nets can be applied for an effective workflow management regarding the choreography, the orchestration, and the execution of Grid applications. The choreography deals with the abstract modeling of Grid applications whereas the orchestration regards the mapping onto concrete software components and the Grid infrastructure. During the execution of Grid applications runtime issues, such as synchronization, persistence, transaction-safety, and fault management have to be regarded. http://www.andreas-hoheisel.de/
